Opportunity Posts…
Ready to revolutionise how live music bookings happen? Say hello to Opportunity Posts – GigBridge’s game-changing feature that’s turning the entertainment industry on its head!
Gone are the days of performers wondering “where are all the gigs?” or venues thinking “how do I find the perfect act?” Opportunity Posts are your ticket to a simpler, smarter way of connecting talent with venues.
Think of it as your golden ticket to booking Australia’s talent for live music! For venues, it’s your stage door to discovering amazing performers. For performers, it’s your backstage pass to finding exciting new gigs. This is how GigBridge bridges the gap between talent and opportunity!
Part 1: Creating an Opportunity (Venues Only!) 🎪
Hey venues! Ready to find your next superstar performer? Let’s get that stage set! 🎭
(Sorry performers, this part’s for venues only – but keep reading to see how you can apply!)

- Fill in all the relevant details.
- Pick your date and time (don’t worry, we’ll check your calendar for conflicts!)
- Hit Submit and you’re as good as posted!
The Essential Info ⭐

- Venue Type: Bar? Restaurant? Winery? Pick what fits (up to 3)
- Genre: What’s your musical flavour? (Choose up to 7 – because variety is the spice of life!)
- Location: This comes from your profile address (like your musical home base!)
- Price Range: Slide between $0-$5000 (keeping it real with expectations!)
- Short Description: Your elevator pitch for browsing musicians
- Full Description: All the juicy details (stage size, equipment, that cool disco ball you’ve got…)
Note: Light Subscription users have a limit on the number of opportunities you can have posted at any one time.
Part 2: The Booking Dance 💃
For Performers 🎸
- Each opportunity accepts up to 3 applications (first in, best dressed!)
- Already applied somewhere else? Withdraw first before trying for another gig
- Keep checking your dashboard for booking updates
For Venues 🏢
- Preview applications and explore performer profiles
- Don’t like what you see? Decline and keep the door open
- Found your perfect match? Send that confirmation request!
- Remember: Performers must double-confirm to seal the deal
Pro Tips for Everyone! 🌟
- Keep those communication channels open
- Be crystal clear about payment (per hour or per gig?)
- All the performer info you need is in their profile
- GigBridge doesn’t handle T&Cs between parties
- Always discuss details before confirming bookings
Important Note About Performer Withdrawals ⚠️
As a venue, you might be tempted to sit tight and see who else might apply. Whilst this approach allows you to make the best choice without feeling rushed into making a decision. Just be aware, performers can withdraw from your opportunity at any time. So don’t leave them waiting too long, otherwise you might find they’ve gone and applied for the next best thing!
Ready to rock? Let’s get posting! 🎵
